Does Privacy exist at Work?
Saturday, December 15th, 2007PCs may have made some things simpler, but they have also complicated a lot of things. You may watch your employees. It might look like a very busy room. However, all these people may be doing everything but not their jobs. Should you try to spying on them? Or possibly there may be more options around that deal with employee monitoring?
In the past the choice for supervisors who wanted some control was limited. Only spyware was available for computer monitoring . Spyware is the name for computer programs that make screenshots, copy text the user inputs into their computer, monitor traffic. With spyware you have more control than you would want. The problem is that you might lose something else. You can lose respect of your people, because you are effectively violating their privacy.
